From Vick Lawston’s House of 1,000 Mysteries comes his instructions and secret gimmick for performing the Floating and Dancing Handkerchief routine. This is a routine for the stage only and requires an assistant.
Effect: You hold a handkerchief up by it’s corner, fondle it a bit, talk to it, and then shake it a bit near the floor. Suddenly it starts to leap, jump, float, dance, etc. according to your commands. You can even walk away from it, down into the audience if you wish. Still the handkerchief continues to dance and have a wonderful time all by itself. If you use music the amazing hanky will dance and keep perfect time with waltzes, fox-trots, rock and roll, etc. At your command to stop – the hanky will stop moving about, float up into the alr a bit and then finally drop down limp and collapse altogether.
