This came from a magician’s estate purchase. No instructions. We believe this was constructed by Dave Powell. It is beautifully done! We are familiar with the workings of the “Enchanted Ring” effect and will enclose some written instructions if you are not familiar with it. It’s a really great close-up penetration mystery!
Effect: A small wooden block is displayed. A ring is placed into a vertical groove in the block and the ring is securely impaled within the block by piercing a pin through both sides of the block. The block is turned over and it now hangs from the ring, being held there by the pin running from one side of the block to the other.
The performer lets the block and ring remain suspended over a spectator’s palm. He allows the base of the block to come down into the spectator’s hand. The magician then gently lifts the ring free, upward, and out of the groove in the block and the pin is still pierced through the block from one side to the other! Everything can be freely examined after the trick has finished.
