Displaying a small square of tin-foil the performer tears off a piece about the size of a postage stamp. He folds it and rolls it into a small packet. Next, he suggests that the spectator will feel a slight coolness in his hand as the pellet is placed on his hand. The spectator agrees that it appears a bit cool.

Now, he goes to a second spectator and repeats the process, but this time, he states that the spectator will feel a heating sensation which will grow and grow until it feels as though the pellet will leave a blister on his palm. The reaction of the spectator tells all as they begin to squirm and finally drops the pellet for fear of blistering their hand.
