Crystal Silk Cylinder (MAK)

Description

This came from a magician’s estate purchase. Comes with instructions. Good working condition. Both metal tubes have some paint chips (mainly at the upper and lower ends) from previous use and it appears that the previous owner touched up some of these. There are also some black smudges on the yellow paint of the Dragon tube. The plastic tubes also have scratching but nothing too severe. Overall the condition of this outfit is quite good and very useable.

Effect: A tall, clear plastic cylinder, mounted to a wooden base, is freely shown and three silk handkerchiefs are placed inside. They are clearly visible to the audience. Now a metal cover, open at both ends, is then slid down over the clear cylinder. When the cover is removed, the silks are seen to have changed into three pieces of fruit which can be tossed to the audience. The metal cylinder can be shown empty at both ends, the silks having completely vanished. No mirrors are used.

This is a great utility outfit that can be used for much more than the effect described above. Use it to vanish silks, change silks into any solid object that will fit inside the tube, switch silks for effects like 20th Century Silks! Change silks to Flags, Ribbons, etc. Change the color of silks, and more!

Stands 12 inches high and is 3 inches in diameter. Made of clear heavy plastic with a wooden base and metal covers. With the additional red tube you may show the metal cover empty at the start as well as at the finish of the trick.
