A spectator is selected to be the mind-reader and is given a pair of magical opera glasses which he takes with him while he leaves the room. Another spectator selects one of the five symbols. The mind-reader returns, looks through the glasses, and instantly names the chosen symbol. The effect may be immediately repeated.
